Actress Vivian Pius: Lesbianism has come to stay in Nollywood!!!

Actress Vivian Pius has commented on the rampancy of homosexual relationships in Nollywood, saying it was slowly becoming a norm in the movie industry.

The actress, who made this comments on set in Festac, said “Lesbianism has come to stay in Nollywood. Though it exists in other industries such as banking, medical and others, that of Nollywood is more open to the public because of who we are, as a society`s role models.”

“It has come to be seen as a cartel where those who belong to a group find it easier getting movie roles. Some of them can even make you rich overnight beyond your expectation. Those who are in it and know their onions can tell you better.”

“They get the best of jobs and are richer driving in big cars and seeing at the best of places. The same thing goes for the homosexuals.”

“The industry has become what many of us never dreamed of, going the way of Hollywood and other European movie industries. It is also in Alaba International Market. They control the industry. It is all about packaging. But there is still hope that those who are not patronizing them will still make it in Nollywood.”

Governor Oshiomhole, Others Sued Over N300m Debt

A corporate body, A.I.C limited has instituted a legal action against Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state and the Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice over a N300million unpaid debts arising from the supply of materials for the Benin City Water Supply Project.

In a writ of summon issued at the High Court of Justice, Benin City,in suit No: B/223/2013 and dated 6th day of May, 2013 by Ighodalo Imadegbelo, SAN and Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, (SAN) for Ighodalo Imadegbelo, & Co., solicitor to the claimants, the claimant is asking the that the defendants, (The Executive Governor of Edo State and Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Edo state,) pay up the N300million indebted to it.

"You are hereby commanded that within 42 days after the service of this writ on you, inclusive of the day of such service, you do cause an appearance to be entered for you in an action at the suit of A.I.C LIMITED and take notice that in default of your so doing the claimant may proceed therein and judgment may be given in your absence", it stated.

Counsel to the claimant said that payment as demanded was a debt owed to it by the defendant for Benin City Water Supply Project covered by final invoice as at 31st day of September, 2012 in breach of clauses 4.6, 14.0 and 20.0 of the agreement dated 7th day of June, 1991.

He therefore prayed the court that the claimant shall rely on the demand notice and final invoice attached as annexure 1 and 2 dated 10th day of January, covering general damages of N300,000,000.00k (Three Hundred Million Naira) and interest at the rate of 20% per annum on reliefs until the judgment sum is paid.

Ighodalo Imadegbelo, (SAN) also prayed that or in the alternative: "A declaration that the 6,814 Ductile Iron Pipes deposited by the claimants at the Nigerian Immigration premises, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City, the 5,700 Ductile Iron Pipes and 3,000 Consumer Meter Iron Pipes and Fittings at the premises of Ikpoba Dam, Okhoro Road, Benin City constitute a Lien for the debt or part of the debt owed by the defendants to the claimants."

"An order that upon failure of the defendants to pay the debt owed the claimant, the claimant should realize the debt or part of the debt by selling the Ductile Iron Pipes, fittings and meter pipes", he sued.

The case which came up for hearing and determination before Justice Alero Edodo-Eruaga,on the 9th day of May, 2013 in the presence of the claimant/applicant after hearing from Ighodalo Imadegbelo (SAN) ordered follows: "Consequently, ordered as prayed. An order of interim Marava injunction is hereby issued directing and/or commanding the defendants by themselves, their servants, agents, privies, assigns or otherwise enot to remove and in any other way dispose or sell/transfer the 6814 (300mm) Ductile Iron Pipes stacked at the premises of Nigeria Immigration Service Ikpoba Hill, Benin City and 5700 Ductile Iron Pipes and 3000 consumer meters iron pipes stacked at the premises of Ikpoba Dam, Okhoro Road Benin City by the Claimant".

The court said on the matter that the defendant is to enter an undertaking to pay damages if the application ought not to have been granted. Hearing on the matter is adjourned to 27/5/13 for motion on notice, a dated suggested by counsel.

There will be no peace if Jonathan is not returned in 2015 – Dokubo Asari


ABUJA — Ahead of 2015 general elections, Northern youths engaged former President of Ijaw Youth Congress (IYC) and Leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, in a war of words over the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

Dokubo had fired the first salvo while addressing a press conference in Abuja as he declared that the Niger Delta region cannot guarantee peace in Nigeria if President Jonath- an is not returned  in 2015.

He also stated that after Jonathan’s presidency, the region will resume claim to the resources in the oil-rich Niger-Delta, saying that they are currently on sabbatical leave.

The Arewa youths, however, responded immediately warning Asari Dokubo to desist from beating the drums of war over the re-election of President Jonathan in 2015.

They said that the choice of Nigeria’s next president would be determined by Nigerians and not Ijaw militants or pipeline contractors.

Asari Dokubo in the interview pointed out that the reason there is relative peace in the country, especially in South-South geo-political zone currently  is not because of the amnesty granted to Niger Delta ex-militants by late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua’s regime in 2010, but Jonathan’s presidency.

Asari who spoke on a wide range of national issues also said that contrary to the claims of Jonathan’s critics that his administration is visionless, the administration has surpassed the previous ones in terms of provision of social infrastructure.

He said: “I called this briefing because of events that are unfolding in the polity. Recently, the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, Mr. Kingsely Kuku, made a statement in the United States of America, that the peace being enjoyed in the Niger Delta will not be guaranteed if President Goodluck Jonathan is not returned as President of Nigeria in 2015.

“This statement has been supported by several groups from the region. Also, the statement has been attracting reactions from several quarters, expectedly from the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and others.

“I want to go on to say that, there will be no peace, not only in the Niger Delta, but everywhere if Goodluck Jonathan is not president by 2015, except God takes his life, which we don’t pray for.

“Jonathan has uninterrupted eight years of two terms to be president, according to the Nigeria constitution. We must have our uninterrupted eight years of two tenure, I am not in support of any amendment of the constitution that will reduce the eight years of two tenure that Goodluck Jonathan is expected to be president of Nigeria.”

“For very long time, our resources from  the Niger Delta has been used to feed and fund Nigeria, and some people are still feeling that Nigeria is their personal property, and they can manage it the way they like, but those days are gone forever, it can never come back again.

Reacting to Dokubo’s threat, the President of Arewa Consultative Forum, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, described it as an unfortunate outburst borne out of ignorance and mischief ostensibly to elicit cheap patronage from The Presidency.

Shettima regretted the statement credited to Dokubo, saying that it was wrong for the President to allow the former warlord to be speaking for  him, thereby giving himself out as an ethnic Ijaw leader and not the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who was popularly elected based on the goodwill and support of the generality of Nigerians.

He said, “President Jonathan should stop these elements from talking as if they alone elected him into office in 2011.”D

P Square’s Second Baby's Mother Stuck In London Hospital Over Unpaid Hospital Bill

Nigeria's hip hop sensation, P Square (real name Paul Okoye), has reportedly abandoned the mother of his second baby in a London hospital where the woman recently gave birth to the entertainer's baby.

A few weeks after welcoming his first new born baby in Atlanta, P Square - who is also known as P2 - had another baby delivered for him in a London hospital by a former beauty pageant contestant. However, this time, P Square has refused to claim paternal responsibility for the baby boy.

Hi5-show learnt that the new baby's mother is Elshama Benson Igbanoi, a 19-year-old and former Miss Plateau State. Our sources disclosed that she gave birth at the Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital on Du Cane Road, London W12 0HS.

Our sources said the new mother had been in touch with P2, but he had not been forthcoming beyond telling her that he plans to arrive in London for a DNA test to ascertain paternity. Hi5 spoke to the woman's father, Benson Igbanoi, in Abuja. Mr. Igbanoi stated that his daughter was faithful to the musician. He also revealed that he had sent several emails to P Square concerning his daughter's pregnancy for him, but had received no response.

Another source said Elshama's family had contacted Paul Okoye's father and aunt to persuade the musician to accept responsibility for his baby.

Ms. Elshama insists that she never slept with any man except for P2, adding that she lost her virginity to him when she was 17 years old.

Hi5-show learnt that the London hospital where she gave birth has not received any payments. "The hospital has been harassing both Elshama and her mother to pay hospital bills of over £5,000 that have been incurred," said one source. The baby boy has been named Michelle Paul Okoye.

In a twist to the story, a source close to the former beauty queen said Ms. Elshama was a close friend to Anita, the other woman who gave birth to another baby for P2 a few weeks ago in Atlanta, Georgia.
