VIDEO ALERT: PAIN OF A STAR BY PPO
Kendrick Lamar Gives His Life To God
Now you know that Kendrick Lamar has a lot of religious references on his now classic album, GKMC (or whatever the abbreviation is). So, he’s got a predisposition. I’ve been told that Kendrick Lamar got saved on the New York date of the Yeezus tour (or somewhere on the tour). It seems that he’s been heavily influenced or affected or something by a religious figure in his life. And like that, he’s “saved.” But, thats a great thing! He’s basically giving himself to the Lord.
Now, I wonder how this will change his music!
The Game also got saved a few years ago and we haven’t seen a huge, dramatic change so that makes me wonder what we’ll see from his Compton little brother.
What do you think?
EXclusive: Facebook Set to buy BlackBerry
Never mind that Facebook hasn’t exactly taken the world by storm with smartphones carrying its brand. And never mind that what’s left of BlackBerry‘s user base is largely comprised of Enterprise-based users who value the platform’s added layer of security — not exactly the kind of people who would embrace the idea of a BlackBerry built around easy wall updates and photo sharing. According to The Wall Street Journal, Facebook is the latest company to kick the tires at the beleaguered smartphone maker, and execs from the two companies met in California last week to discuss a possible deal.
On the surface, there’s some logic to the idea of a Facebook-BlackBerry tie-up. Facebook certainly has pockets deep enough to afford an asking price of over $4 billion. And Facebook’s future is tied inextricably to the mobile universe, where it has over 800 million users and brings in 41 percent of its ad revenue. Having its own mobile platform would guarantee Facebook’s ability to promote its wares in the event that Google, Apple, or Microsoft decided they didn’t want to prominently feature Facebook on their devices. And, given the way the battle royale between Apple and Google over iOS played out, those concerns may not be entirely far-fetched.
However, with very few mobile players other than Apple and Samsung actually making anything selling handsets, and with Google continuing to lose money on Motorola, taking over a device manufacturer — particularly one that seems to be in a permanent tailspin — seems like a losing battle. At least in Nokia, Microsoft will get a company that has seen its sales tick upward in its most recent quarter. For $4 billion, Facebook would get the Z10 and a company that’s losing a billion dollars a quarter – and potentially risk losing fans among Android, iOS and Windows Phone manufacturers. Sounds like something Zuckerberg wouldn’t like a whole lot.

Another plane crash averted in Abuja
Another day, another plane mishap news. Another
air disaster was averted at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, Abuja yesterday Monday October 28th
as a Med-View Airlines aircraft carrying 150 passengers from Lagos suddenly took to the air
again at the point of landing in Abuja, Punch reports.
The pilot told the passengers that he took to the air again to avoid a collision with another aircraft on the tarmac. The airline Flight VL2104 took off from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos at noon and was scheduled to land in Abuja at about 1.05pm.
The pilot had already announced final descent into Abuja and asked all passengers and cabin crew to fasten their seat belts but the pilot suddenly took off to the air again with barely 30 seconds to touch ground.
After about three minutes of gaining altitude, the pilot announced that he decided to take off again to avoid colliding with an aircraft that was on ground.
He said that after he had been granted clearance to land, it was later discovered that the other aircraft was not fast enough, hence his decision to take off.
The aircraft hovered for another 20mins in the air before finally landing at about 1.30pm.

Edo State government denies hosting Dillish? Lol. Stop, please!
Read the press statement after the cut...
EDO STATE GOVERNMENT DID NOT HOST BBA’S DILLISH.
Our attention has been drawn to a news report in Daily Independent of Friday, October 25, 2013, where one Mr. Eddie Iroh was quoted as expressing displeasure on a rumoured hosting of Dillish, the winner of Big Brother Africa. In the said report, Eddie Iroh was said to have “condemned the Governor for spending state’s funds so recklessly”.
The report added that “ the likes of Governors Oshiomhole, Fashola and Dickson who are in the habit of dipping their hands into public funds on such ventures should have known that in civilized climes, such celebrations were funded from the Governors’pockets and not public funds”. How libelous!
From the above, it is obvious that Mr. Eddie Iroh is suffering from brain wave. First, it would have been a thing of interest for Edo State Government to host the said BBA winner, Dillish, to justify her well-advertised declaration in the BBA House that Edo State people are very hospitable. That in itself was a global endorsement that is purely priceless. Again, if Dillish would agree, as a BBA ambassador, Edo State Government would be willing to host her in future to prove to cynics and naysayers like Eddie Iroh that Edo State is indeed, not only hospitable, but also a safe haven for those who intend to do legitimate business in the State. It will be a departure from orchestrated and concocted stories often peddled by jobless people like Eddie Iroh, who rather than devote their old age to reflect on their absurdities when they called the shots, have now taken to the cyber space for surfing cheap gossip, chit-chat and unfounded allegations.
To the best of our knowledge, Edo State did not host Dillish in whatever material particular. This could be verified from the Governor’s daily routines which are usually available for public consumption and can be confirmed from the Protocol Department of the Governor’s Office or Government House. Mr. Eddie Iroh’s comment is pure hallucination. Eddie Iroh’s story is an open sore that is festered with several incongruities, inanities, ambiguities and failing memory. He should provide evidence to show that Governor Oshiomhole dips his hands into public funds to host his private visitors or simply keep his mouth shut. We have gone past the age of Eddie Iroh, an age of those men of yesterday, who abused public institutions they presided over, to fest their nest at the expense of tax payers’ money. In Edo State, we are not only accountable to the people; we have also earned their respect and trust.
Signed
